I noticed the Steps switch before and didn't know what it did but it didn't put the steps out when they wouldn't go out so I wondered about it. I saw the info in the closet with the paint codes etc. We have the VIN number on some paperwork so I didn't look for it on the MH today. Thanks James, that is useful information. I think you said your will sometimes not extend. It allowes you the option for the step to retract or stay extended when ignition is in the off positioin. As far as the steps, we have a cluster of rocker switches just as you start up the steps on the right. When contacting your chassis builder, coach and engine builder, the last 6 numbers of your VIN will get you alot of info, such as part numbers and so on. The sticker in the rear closet should give other info like paint codes for you coach. You will also have a serial number for the engine. You will also have a FIN which is the Fleetwood Identification Number. This is for the chassis only, and the last 6 numbers are the what you will refer to when talking to your chassis maker. Pete is correct, you should find your VIN on a tag at the rear at the top of the radiator and on a sticker next to the drivers seat.
